what is JUPEB?

JUPEB MEANS - Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is a national examinations body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium of ten (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos. The JUPEB programme is an advanced level program of that allows interested candidate to gain admission into 200 level of JUPEB’s approved institution without writing JAMB UTME. this program is moderated by the University of Lagos. The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a National Examination body saddled with the responsibility of conducting examinations for students, who has undergone approved subject combinations and are seeking direct entry admission into Nigeria and partnering foreign universities. It was approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013 and became operational in April 2014 through the efforts of consortium of ten partnering universities led by the University of Lagos. The programme last for a duration of nine months divided into two semesters.

JUPEB Admission Requirements

Basic Requirements For JUPEB Admission Are Stated Below: Eligibility :

• Each candidate must register, sit for Examinations and satisfy the Board in three subjects and a General Studies course relevant to the proposed course in any of the universities.
• Each subject is to be broken into four courses to be taken, two per semester, by the candidate. The results in all the courses are to be merged at the end of the second semester to obtain the candidate's grade in that particular subject.
• Each candidate is expected to take twelve (12) courses, six per semester, and a General Studies course.
• The general Studies for courses in each University Faculty will be based on relevant General courses suggested for that Faculty by each university.
• The students upon completion of the programme will be issued certificates based on their level of perfoemance which bear Letter Grades of A, B, C, D, E or F in each of the three subjects and General Studies Paper.
• For admission into each university, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examinations for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all other conditions as prescribed by his/her university of choice.

Entry Qualifications

• The Basic Qualification for Enrolment is a minimum of five (5) Credit Passes at the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) /General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level in subjects relevant to the desired university programme or course of study

JUPEB Advanced Level Fees (Full Academic Session)

NOTES

• Payments for accomodation at the university where the exam would hold, transportation to and fro the exam town, payments for admission letter, JAMB direct entry verification and result processing will be determined later based on the prevailing economic situations.
• Students are to make personal provision for their feeding, mattress, buckets, transportation, Hospital bills and other personal needs.
• We allow the TUITION FEES to be paid in instalments, if need be.
• For students who chooses to go through both the IJMB and JUPEB programs at the same time in our Centre at Loburo in Mowe, Ogun State, we would allow them to pay N660,000 for both programs instead of N760,000. Sitting for both examinations give such successful students a secured assurance of being admitted to a university of their choice.
• PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF MONEY PAID IF YOU DECIDE TO QUIT THE PROGRAM FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
